About This Role
Hermeus is a venture-backed defense aviation company reclaiming the lost art of rapid iterative prototyping to build the fastest aircraft in the world today. By prioritizing relentless hardware iteration, we deliver high-speed systems at the pace of the modern battlefield. We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.
Mission Systems (Summer-Fall):
As an Avionics Engineering Intern you will focus on the design, physical testing, and integration of mission-critical flight deck subsystems. You will be responsible for creating wire diagrams, setting up hardware in the lab, and performing end-to-end subsystem tests, including electrical, hardware, and software integration.
Avionics Electrical Engineer (Summer or Fall):
As an Avionics Electrical Engineering Intern you will help shape the future of commercial supersonic and hypersonic flight. Our team is responsible for the design, testing, and integration of GNC systems, electrical hardware, control software, power distribution, and RF communications.
Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August)
Fall: Around 16 weeks (August - December)
