About This Role

What You’ll Do

As an Account Executive, you will lead enterprise sales efforts for Department of Defense customers across the Western United States. You will manage complex sales cycles, build durable customer relationships, and position Slingshot as a mission-aligned partner supporting defense operations. Your work will directly contribute to expanding Slingshot’s DoD footprint and long-term revenue growth.

Position Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of DoD accounts across the Western U.S.
  • Drive opportunity identification, qualification, and deal execution for enterprise programs
  • Build relationships with senior defense stakeholders, program offices, and operational users
  • Influence customer requirements and acquisition strategies through early engagement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver proposals, demonstrations, and customer briefings
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting discipline
  • Represent Slingshot at DoD customer meetings, industry events, and regional forums
  • Share customer insights and competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned (less than 10%)

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of enterprise B2G sales experience, or equivalent experience, with a focus on DoD customers
  • Proven ability to close complex, multi-year government contracts
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition and budgeting processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, or equivalent flexibility

Preferred Skills

  • Experience selling into Western U.S. DoD installations or commands
  • Familiarity with space, defense, or aerospace technology markets
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in technical sales environments
  • Active or previously held U.S. security clearance

Location: Remote (West)

Salary: $83,000 - $138,000
